COOLMORE NUNTHORPE winner Sole Powerwill not run in Sunday's Group 1 Qatar Prix de L'Abbaye at Longchamp due to the soft going in Paris.

Connections had been concerned about the easing ground and on Thursday decided to put the Eddie Lynam-trained three-year-old away until the new season.

Paddy Power, son of owner Sabena, said: "I think he made it to England actually, but he was only sent on his way with a desperate hope of the weather changing.

"Even if it's sunny from this moment until the race on Sunday, the ground isn't going to dry out enough, so he will be put away and saved for the Group 1 sprints next year."

Sole Power, who had left many stunned by his 100-1 success in the Nunthorpe last month, had been a best-priced 16-1 for the Longchamp test.
