AIDAN O'BRIEN saddled the favourite for a highly competitive renewal of the Curragh stamina test in the shape of Clearwater Bay but it was his second string, Bright Horizon, who proved the star turn.

Colm O'Donoghue got a dream ride one off the rails  on the 14-1 shot racing in Mrs John Magnier's second colours and forged clear impressively to win by an easy five and a half length.

What A Charm finished second, beaten a length and three-quarters with Swift Marc a head back in third and Dermot Weld's useful bumper performer Endless Intrigue in fourth.

The well-handicapped Taralga set a good pace and still looked to have plenty in hand turning into the straight but had no answer as the pack closed.

Bright Horizon was recording his third win and all have been at the Curragh.
