YOUMZAIN worked at Newbury racecourse on Sunday morning as Mick Channon's stable stalwart prepares for his fourth bid to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.

The son of Sinndar has finished runner-up in the last three Arcs and owner Jaber Abdullah's racing manager Bruce Raymond said: "We took him to Newbury this morning and he worked with two lead horses and he worked well, as he always does.

"He is a better horse on Arc day as it has proved and he excels there. It is hard to believe he has been second in three Arcs and we hope for a miracle.

"I just hope the ground is on the easy side as, while he goes on anything, he is better with a bit of give."
