Last Friday saw Nooresh Juglall pick up his 22nd win of the Singapore Racing season, as he rode My Horse to his third win of the season for trainer Alwin Tan.

Juglall, who was on board My Horse for the fourth time and having won on him in his second ride, positioned his mount just off the leader First Choice, with both horses then engaging in a thrilling duel down the final straight. In the end, My Horse had done enough to get the win.

In the winner's enclosure, Juglall said: “His 4th draw helped him. There was a fast pace in the race, but it suited him.

“He’s quite a limited horse. Things need to go his way, and tonight, everything worked to plan.

“I thought there wasn’t much left in the tank. But he really gave it to me.

“It’s quite amazing what he’s done as he was a cheap buy and he’s now won so much more for his owners.”

Juglall will be joined by compatriot Karis Teetan in the Group 1 Kranji Mile meeting on Saturday 26th May. Teetan will ride Horse Of Fortune in what will be his third visit to the country. It is worth remembering that Teetan won the Group 2 EW Barker Trophy aboard Lim's Cruiser for Stephen Gray in his first visit to the country.

Akash Aucharuz, who has been riding in Malaysia, scored his first win on Saturday at Selangor Racecourse, courtesy of It's Only Money for trainer P.S Kumaran in the second race. It's Only Money followed in midfield, before producing a powerful burst of acceleration in the final straight to get the better of Guiltless and Nova Spirit.
