The main event over 1650 metres saw Gilbert Rousset's yard celebrate a one-two, with #1 Ten Gun Salute (Robbie Fradd) scoring his first win on Mauritian soil, the third horse to do so today.

Running one-off, #1 Ten Gun Salute took the lead at the end of the back straight and simply sailed on to victory, with stable mate #2 Dawn Raid (Swapneel Rama) landing 2nd.

Third went to #3 Prince Of Wales (Kersley Ramsamy), while #4 Solar Star (Jameer Allyhosain) completed the quartet.

This race was reduced to 8 runners, after #9 Independence was scratched this morning.
