A licensed trainer in Victoria has been charged for confronting another trainer while brandishing a firearm.

Mark Thomas and Shannon Hope have been charged under AR 175(q) for 'Behaviour which constitutes improper conduct' following two incidents at Seymour.

Hope was charged for engaging in an argument with Thomas while he watched trackwork from the Seymour grandstand on February 6 and then striking Thomas in the face.

Thomas was charged under the same rule after confronting Hope at the Seymour stables he shares with his father Lee last October while Thomas was allegedly in possession of a firearm.

Both trainers will appear before the Racing and Disciplinary Board at a date to be fixed.
