After scoring his first ever win with Zac Purton in his last start, Best Step managed to confirm in the final contest at Sha Tin racecourse yesterday evening.

With Karis Teetan on board, the Caspar Fownes-trained gelding led from start-to-finish, winning ahead of Wonderful Journey (K.K.Chiong) and Right Honourable (H.W.Lai).

Best Step's win also ended a drought for Karis Teetan, with the Mauritian jockey earning his 31st win of the season. He remains in 7th place in the Jockeys' Premiership, which is very likely to end up in the hands of Brazil's Joao Moreira once again.
