Champion jockey Damien Oliver will stay in Australia for now after his contract to ride in Mauritius fell through.
Oliver, who won the Group I All Aged Stakes on Tivaci at Randwick on Saturday, was due to leave Australia this week to take up a contract on the island nation.
"I've actually just got some bad news yesterday ... it's fallen through," Oliver said.
"The stable I was going to ride for were unable to have a stable jockey."
Oliver said he was unlikely to return to Sydney next week to ride in the rescheduled Sydney Cup.
