Karis Teetan had an excellent meeting at Sha Tin racecourse yesterday, walking away with two winners and a handful of second places.

His first win came in the 6th race - The Glenealy Handicap, partnering the David Ferraris-trained London City. Running in 4th position, the Five-Year-old gelding accelerated brilliantly to hit the front with 150 metres to go and did enough to fend off a fast-finishing Diamond Mysterious (Douglas Whyte).

Win number two came just two races later, courtesy of the John Size-trained What Else But You in the Lusitano Challenge Cup. Placed in 2nd position, What Else But You took the lead halfway down the final straight, doing enough to get the win ahead of the Tony Cruz-trained duo of Winner's Way (Matthew Chadwick) and California Disegno (Neil Callan), who dead-heated for 2nd.

Karis Teetan had gone close twice earlier in the meeting. He had to make do with 2nd place with Perpetual Joyance (John Size) in the 3rd race, beaten by Dragon General, while Golden Sun (Tony Millard) was forced to play second fiddle to Happy Meteor in race 5.

With 24 wins to his credit, Karis Teetan sits in 8th place in the Jockeys' Premiership, which is under the complete control of defending champion Joao Moreira.
