Last weekend was one of fun for Mauritian jockeys riding abroad, with all of Karis Teetan (Hong Kong), Niven Marday (Beijing), Akash Aucharuz (Malaysia) and Yoven Daniel (Malaysia) striking.

Karis Teetan ended a superb season on a high in the grand finale at Sha Tin racecourse, winning his record-breaking 52nd win on board Otouto for Tony Millard in the second race. Teetan finished 3rd in the Jockeys' Premiership, which went the way of Zac Purton, after a titanic struggle with Joao Moreira, who will be off to Japan. Purton had 136 wins to his credit, just 2 ahead of Moreira.

Niven Marday earned his first win of the season in Beijing, courtesy of Purple Emperor in the 3rd race. During the course of the meeting, he also rode four placings in six rides. Marday is the current defending champion jockey in Beijing.

Akash Aucharuz earned his third win on Malaysian soil at Selangor Turf Club. He took the honours in the first race on board Shapur Jet. His compatriot Yoven Daniel won the final race on the card, riding Nevertheless to victory, ahead of Nova Spirit, who had a certain Olivier Chaves on board.
