Brisbane-based jockey Robbie Fradd capped a stellar week after being crowned champion rider at the International Weekend in Mauritius on Sunday.

Fradd, representing his home country of South Africa, finished atop the standings with 41 points after three winners and a second while Australian representatives, Jeff Lloyd and Luke Nolen, could only manage nine and zero points respectively.

Fradd’s latest achievement follows a personal best haul of 5-1/2 winners from seven rides at the Gold Coast meeting last Wednesday.

The 52-year-old, who relocated to Australia in 2014, has ridden more than 90 Group I winners worldwide and is due to return to Queensland racing at Wednesday’s Ipswich meeting.
