A final field of 12 runners, plus four emergencies, has been announced for The Everest with pre-draw favourite She Will Reign drawing barrier two.

The race, run under 'Standard Weight for Age' conditions, has attracted seven individual Group One winners - Chautauqua (5), She Will Reign (2), Redzel (4), Clearly Innocent (6), English (12), Vega Magic (10) and Redkirk Warrior (3).

Three-year-old gallopers Houtzen, She Will Reign and Tulip will carry just 51kg, some 7.5kg less than the mighty grey Chautauqua.

Ball Of Muscle, Takedown, Trapeze Artist and In Her Time have been named as the four emergencies for the race.

If there are any scratchings from Saturday's declared 12-horse field, the slot holder can negotiate with the owners of one of the four reserves.

The emergencies are among the horses entered for the $500,000 Listed Sydney Stakes, also over 1200m.

The Portelli-trained She Will Reign was the narrow favourite for The Everest at $4.80 prior to Tuesday's barrier draw.

Former Perth sprinter Vega Magic was on the next line of betting at $5.50, with Chautauqua at $6.

Tulip, third in last year's Golden Slipper, and the Canberra-based Fell Swoop are the two outsiders in the field at $51 and $61 respectively.

The Everest is undoubtedly the highlight on Saturday's nine-race Randwick card which coincides with the Group One Guineas meeting at Caulfield in Melbourne.
